What We Know About the Bronco

Rumors, speculation, and a few confirmations about the production of a new model of the Ford Bronco have been floating around the internet for months now. At first we weren’t sure whether or not it was a hoax or a marketing scheme by Ford, but we’re elated that there’s now a bit of concrete proof for what we can expect from the upcoming 2020 Ford Bronco. Get a special Ford Bronco preview below.

Rumors and Confirmations

Let’s start with what we know for sure. So far Ford has confirmed very little about the release of a new Bronco model, even after making us wait for over 20 years with the last model of the Bronco having been produced in 1996. However, there has been some information released and we’re using that to quell our thirst for more in the meantime. What we know so far is that the new Bronco has a tentative release date somewhere in 2019 or 2020, but not specific dates or prices have been released yet. We also know that the new vehicle will be produced alongside the Ranger, which is also making a comeback, in Ford’s Michigan plant. One of the more exciting things we’ve managed to find out about the new Bronco is that it will indeed feature the bucking bronco logo we all love so much.

So far, this is the only information that has been confirmed by Ford, but there are plenty of other speculations floating around about the Bronco, and the Ranger as well. Some people are wondering what kinds of powertrains will be available, whether it’ll be a two-door or a four-door, and if it will be off-road capable like many other Ford trucks, SUVs, and crossovers.

The Future of the 2018 Ford F-150

2018 Ford F-150Before Bradley drivers know it the 2018 Ford F-150 will be hitting the markets and making its way towards a dealership near you – like Terry’s Ford. We all know that Ford trucks are powerhouses of immense capabilities and high level performance, but what is there to expect from the upcoming 2018 model? There are currently no release dates set or prices available, but there is quite a bit of satisfying information about the vehicle’s specs and features that have us more than a little interested in learning more.

New Powertrains

An exciting upgrade that Peotone drivers can expect with the 2018 Ford F-150 is the introduction of more, powerful powertrain configurations to equip your truck with. In total the 2018 Ford F-150 will have 3.3L Ti-VCT, 2.7L EcoBoost, 5.0L Ti-VCT V8, 3.5L EcoBoost, and 3.0L Power Stroke engines as available options. That’s two more engines than we’re used to! Ford hasn’t let us in on their performance specs, but we’re confident that they will be impressive with a balanced focus on power and fuel efficiency, as they always are.

Functionality

The 2018 Ford F-150 has also seemed to take more of an interest in providing Bradley drivers with more functionality and accessibility. To do this the vehicle now comes equipped with various helpful extras like LED work lights in the cargo box, an Integrated Tailgate Step, stowable loading ramps, and a BoxLink Cargo Management System. There’s no doubt that these extras will play a big part in making the new 2018 F-Series trucks even more appealing – as if that was possible. Not to mention that it will make loading and unloading cargo at all times of the day safer and simpler.

Keeping Safety Top of Mind

Even during all of the work creating and adding new features and performance enhancements, the Ford F-150 still finds the time to provide Peotone drivers with even more safety and security features to keep passengers and their cargo safe. Some of the features we’re looking forward to seeing include a Dynamic Hitch Assist, BLIS with Trailer Coverage, Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection, Pro Trailed Backup Assist, and Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go.

Ford Announces Four Brand-New Ford SUVs Are Coming Down the Pipe

Ford logoBreak out the blue balloons, because Ford is about to give birth to four bouncing baby SUVs.

The American automaker recently announced it will launch four brand-new SUV models within the next four years. These new sport utility vehicles will boldly go into segments of the SUV market that Ford currently has a presence in. This is all, of course, in an effort to keep pace with the growing ? and extremely lucrative ? SUV and crossover market.

The New Arrivals

We don’t yet know exactly when the new nameplates will hit or where they will be launched; they could be born under the Ford moniker or as part of Lincoln, and they could be released in North America, South America, Asia, Europe, or all four.

Ford says it has no plans to replace any existing models as these new specimens come to the road.

Consumer Boom

While Ford’s SUVs have been selling like hotcakes in recent years, the number of passenger cars being purchased in the automotive market is dwindling as consumers turn increasingly to the like-a-car-but-better attributes of crossovers and sport utility vehicles.

Part of the recent growth of the SUV market in the U.S. is being attributed to baby boomers and millennials, who have to come to favor roomy SUVs more and more over cars. SUVs are also offering consumers increasingly better gas mileage with each model year, which is attracting more and more SUV and crossover buyers.

Research conducted by Ford shows that many millennials, who have delayed starting families, start looking toward buying an SUV ? with plenty of room for forthcoming offspring ? almost as soon as that biological clock starts ticking in earnest. When millennials start planning for their families, it seems, purchasing an SUV or a crossover figures big into those plans.

Baby boomers also like their SUVs. For one thing, an SUV is easier to climb into and out of once the body starts slowing down. At the same time, the older generation reports feeling a bit spryer and younger behind the wheel of a sporty SUV.

While You Wait?

As drivers wait for the release of the new Ford SUVs, they can check out Ford’s currently available SUV models at Terry’s Ford of Peotone. Bradley and Peotone drivers can test drive these impressive SUVs by contacting or visit us today.

Could a New Ford Ranger be Coming to America?

FordChicago and Manteno drivers could possible look forward to a new Ford Ranger in the future, which would be the first new model since December 2011. Ford will move Focus and C-Max production to its Michigan Assembly Plant in 2018, and they are reportedly looking for other products to build at the facility.

The Future of the Ford Ranger

According to a report from The Detroit News, Ford is thinking very hard about which model would be ideal to produce at the Michigan Assembly Plant, and a new Ford Ranger is high on the list. Both the UAW and Ford’s board of directors would need to agree, so a decision is far from made, but the idea is certainly in the air.?The last Ranger was built at the end of 2011 in the now-closed Twin Cities Assembly Plant in St. Paul, MN. The model has been sorely missed, and we have a feeling that Chicago and Manteno drivers would strongly appreciate its return.

A New Ford Ranger

Ford currently produces the Ranger for 180 global markets, but it’s a whole different breed from the vehicle which American drivers know and love, with a longer wheelbase, bulkier design, and additional configurations.?Ford has indicated that any new Ford Ranger built for the U.S. market would need to stand out as separate from such vehicles. As one company executive noted: “We think we could sell a compact truck that’s more like the size of the old Ranger, that gets six or eight more miles per gallon [than a fullsize truck], is $5,000 or $6,000 less, and that we could build in the U.S.?

The 2015 Ford F-150

Of course, any future Ranger will have to be distinct from the phenomenally popular F-150 lineup if it is going to have a chance to succeed. The 2015 Ford F-150 turned heads with its innovative aluminum-alloy body and high-strength steel frame, which created a stronger yet lighter vehicle.?With four engines available, Chicago and Manteno drivers can enjoy any performance preference. From the highest EPA-estimated fuel economy ratings of any gas-powered, light-duty pickup with the 2.7L EcoBoost right up to a best-in-class maximum payload rating of 3,300 pounds with the 385-hp 5.0L V8 engine, the F-150 lineup has a truck for you.
